Flash fiction by Saidul Abdul

Saidul Abdul

As soon as we parachuted out of the burning helicopter and landed next to the “A” flag, we rushed in, guns blazing.  We cleared the room out of enemies, only to be greeted by another wave of enemies, who quickly depleted our ammo.

I demanded more ammo, but as I was doing so, a bullet ferociously ripped through my lung.  I hit the ground with a powerful force. Devastated.

I was now faced with the Respawn screen, leaderboard and weapon selection. It was only then I remembered that I was playing a game!
