I Am by Mollie Cartwright

Mollie Cartwright

I am an equestrian who has ambitions.

I wonder what life is like in a horses  hoof.

I hear horses whispering into my soul,

I see silhouettes of powerful ponies,

I want to control 1200 pounds with only my arms and legs.

I am an equestrian who has ambitions.

I pretend that I am at the Olympics, doing dressage.

I feel happy when on the back of a horse.

I touch the clouds when jumping a course of jumps.

I worry when doing dressage that I’ll get something wrong.

I cry when I see horses that are mistreated and abused.

I am an equestrian that has ambitions.

I understand that not everyone likes horses,

I say it’s not just a hobby, it’s a life style.

I dream that one day I will perform dressage at the Olympics.

I hope someday my dream will come true.

I am an equestrian that has ambitions.
